The business was thriving, but inside I felt hollow,
My nerves were burning down to zero and gone.
Offices, phone calls, an endless flow,
I hid from all worries in "Sherbet", you know.
You just worked there, laughing with ease,
I never looked at you past the surface, if you please.
But one day, exhausted, completely torn apart,
I came to be alone, to hide in the dark.
You ruined my quietest plan of all,
Just sat down beside me, reached out your hand:
"A person needs a person," — those words you said.
And that's when my suffering truly began instead.

And then it hit me like a March squall,
When by accident I learned how your lips feel all.
This dance, these embraces, the tenderness, passion —
I feared to believe this wasn't just fashion.
I fell so hard in love, it hurt deep in my chest,
To make you mine, I'd pass any test,
Through fire and water, through every wall.
You're my obsession, my sweetest call.

We flew, we lived, we breathed as one.
You waited for our baby, the world seemed undone.
I rushed to solve all things, close that Gestalt,
So our wedding would shine, see you smile without fault.
I recall that evening, the fridge empty and bare,
Your whim about pineapple felt too much to bear.
I forgot... But then, like a wizard from tales,
I'd quietly fetch it, just to see joy prevail.
Then came that night... I lost it, didn't wait,
Got drunk on my birthday, exchanged our date.
Resentment stood tall, the phone silent and cold,
You vanished from life, your choice being bold.

A year under windows, a year at her new door,
My heart beat for words we'd spoken before.
I won you back, happiness seemed so near,
But fate had decided to fill us with fear.
They locked me up. Two years without drawing breath.
At first, we both waited, saved only by death...
of distance, I mean. Saved only by calls.
But I started to feel a terrible frost,
Between us grew mud, ice-cold filth and moss.
I tried to scream through hundreds of blocks,
That I'm afraid to freeze, lose all our sparks!
"I'll return! Stronger, wiser than I've been!"
But your voice in reply was too quiet within.

This is not the end...
It's just the beginning of our fight.
For every glance shared, for forgotten dreams of light.
