​My presentation is about working as a chemist at the Syzran Oil Refinery (SNPZ).
​Right now, this business is growing in Russia, so there are many jobs for chemists.
​But there is a problem: young people often go to other oil companies to get more money.
​The most popular jobs are plant technologists, catalyst engineers, and gas specialists.
​Companies want workers to know process charts, fire safety, and Excel.
​I chose this job because I really want to work at a huge factory.
​I want to work exactly at SNPZ in the Samara region.
​My goal is to get a good salary and become the chief technologist one day.
​I want to start as a trainee in the workshop with an older helper.
​I can try this work soon during my school practice at the factory.
​I have a 5-year plan: work as an operator for a year, become a technologist, and learn computer modeling.
​I know that working at a big plant is hard and dangerous.
​Hot temperatures and high pressure do not scare me because I always follow the safety rules.
​In the future, I will check the reactor and the quality of the product.
​I am already good at checking raw materials and guessing how much product we will get.
​If something breaks, I can quickly find the problem using screens and samples.
​I can also use standard lab tools like chromatographs and titrators.
​I am good with people, so I can easily work in a team with operators and mechanics.
​In the end, my best sides are knowing chemistry, reading charts, and being safe.
